Most summer children’s programs are held on the lawn of the library by the river, weather permitting. Please bring a chair or blanket! Occasionally we host them indoors in the Munnecke Room. Please contact us for accommodation requests.

Summer Reading
Leland Library offers Summer Book Bingo in place of a traditional Summer Reading Program. It's a no-stress option that works for locals and visitors alike.
All ages are welcome to participate. Children do not need to be reading independently. Reading doesn't need to look the same for every child; reading with caregivers counts, audiobooks count, comics and graphic novels count.
Beginning June 1st, you can pick up a sheet at the library or download and print one at home (click the image to the left). Bring back your completed bingo sheet and get a coupon for a free cone at Dam Candy Store, but please just one coupon per person. Bingo sheets are due by Aug. 31, and coupons are valid through Sept. 4, 2026. Happy reading!
