How It Works

 

• Our staff have selected 16 new-ish books that we think are worthy of competition, based on reviews and circulation numbers.

• These books will compete in a single-elimination bracket — just like a sports tournament. Download your own bracket, try your best to predict how people will vote in all four rounds of matchups; the owner of the closest bracket will receive a prize. Before voting begins on March 2, bring your completed bracket into the library or send a photo of your bracket to programs@lelandlibrary.org. Be sure to put your name on your bracket! 

• Voting begins Monday, March 2nd, and runs weekdays until March 20. Through four rounds of voting, the field of sixteen books will be narrowed down until only one remains — the 2026 Tournament of Books Champion! You can vote online or in person at the library.
